Value
Management
DLPKS have been developing Value Management techniques in Ireland
over the past number of years. These techniques are incorporated
into the standard service that DLPKS provide on all projects and
include understanding the client brief, identifying the main functions
of the project and reviewing all of the alternative designs that
fulfill these functions. This approach allows our clients to make
informed decisions and ensures that maximum value for money is achieved.
In addition to this DLPKS have facilitated a number of formal value
engineering workshops. Martin Andrews, a partner with DLPKS, has
trained as a Value Engineering Facilitator in the UK and has worked
with DLE on developing this service for the Irish market. Recent
projects on which Martin has facilitated workshops include St Ita's
Hospital in Portrane and Crumlin Hospital for Children. These workshops
generated creative design solutions and improvements which were
presented to the client for decision. This approach promotes quality,
efficient design and helps to achieve maximum value for money
